Instalación local sobre MAMP  

Hola:
Estoy tratando de instalar Joomla 1.5.25 sobre MAMP, antes lo había podido hacer (hace mucho tiempo), pero ahora ya estoy casi frustrado solo consigo este error: (Ha ocurrido un error: No es posible conectar con la base de datos. El mensaje de error devuelto es: Unable to connect to the database:Could not connect to MySQ, esto es si dejo la instalación sin contrasena. ¿Pueden hacer algo por mi? Se los agradeceré infinitamente.
