Plantilla se encoge a lo ancho en ausencia de contenidos

He navegado por los diferentes apartados del sitio web, y no veo cambios en el ancho de la plantilla, tenga o no contenidos, con Firefox.

En cambio con IE 9, si que se aprecia de una manera horrible, ten en cuenta que esta plantilla es bastante antigua, y no existían en ese momento los navegadores IE 8 e IE 9. Te sugiero usar plantillas más modernas.

Antes existia el plugin IE Compatibility de http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/style-a-design/browsers-a-web-standards/7623 , puedes buscar por la red si existen descargas activas de ese plugin, e instalar para ver si soluciona el problema.

ok, me he ido a una plantilla más reciente, de las que usan el JAT3 Framework. Sin embargo, mi percepción inicial es que el T3 es un poco monstruoso. Percibo una cierta sobreelaboración de las últimas plantillas. Aparte de Joomlart, conocen/recomiendan algún proveedor de plantillas más simples?
