Hay muchas plantillas y de todo tipo, pero me gustaría a ver si es posible me recomienden algunas paginas de restaurante que usen joomla, al menos para ver si entre todas me decanto por alguna, de imaginación ando un poco escaso.

El mejor sitio en la actualidad para localizar plantillas por temas es "Best of Joomla" un directorio dedicado a plantillas para Joomla! (gratuitas y de pago) que están entre otros catalogadas por temáticas, por ejemplo lo que tu comentas:

Otra cuestión es que la plantilla que te guste "además" sea gratuita, eso ya es mucho pedir.
