Hola.
Quiero que la web funcione para usuarios en inglés. Empezé con ello localizando los archivos básicos que quería modificar en la carpeta languages del frontend y del backend, luego continué instalando Joomfish. Empezó a dar algunos problemas, como que las banderitas no estaban alineadas y habían ñ y acentos en el backend, pero no tomé más nota y lo desinstale, también cambié la configuración de las bases deatos al tipo mysqli y las cosas se arreglaron, (salvo el Joomlaexplorer que presenta caracteres en ñs y acentos).
Antes de volver a instalar, busco si cometí errores en la instalación ó en los parámetros de la extensión, en el public_html, encontré este error_log que no lo entiendo, (y si me decis donde más buscar):

¿Qué puede ser, una incompatibilidad de Joomfish con la versión de Joomla 1.5. ¿Debo utilizar otra extensión alternativa como Google Translator?.
¿En mi caso, que me aconsejais para solucionarlo y poner el sitio accesible a usarios en inglés?.

Hola Liliana,
Primero desinstala Joomfish verifica que no queden las carpetas:
- administrator/components/com_joomfish
- components/com_joomfish
Si al desinstalar el componente se encuentran creadas todavía estas carpetas procede a eliminarlas. De la misma manera elimina nuevamente las tablas que nos mostraste en la captura anterior.
Luego procede nuevamente a instalar el componente.

Hola. He realizado los pasos que me has indicado y no se instala el componente.
Me encuentro con el siguiente error al desinstalar:
JFolder::files: La ruta no indica una carpeta válida o dicha carpeta fue eliminada.
JInstaller::install: ERRORXMLSETUP
JFolder::delete: La ruta no indica una carpeta válida o dicha carpeta fue eliminada.
JFolder::delete: La ruta no indica una carpeta válida o dicha carpeta fue eliminada.
Si la extensión creó tablas o instaló archivos adicionales, deberá eliminarlos manualmente.
Y el siguiente error tras verificar que las carpetas mencionadas se han eliminado y volver a instalar:
JInstaller::install: Ya hay un directorio con el nombre '/home/colecci1/public_html/language/en-GB/en-GB.mod_jflanguageselection.ini' - Verifique lo siguiente:
• Si la extensión ya está instalada.
• Si los nombres de los archivos en el listado del archivo XML están escritos correctamente.
• Si no hay archivos XML listados dentro del archivo extension.xml.
• Si todos los archivos (sin incluir los archivos xml) están listados en el archivo extension.xml y no están duplicados.
• Si no tiene un directorio vacío con ese nombre de un intento de instalación anterior.
Error al intentar copiar el archivo seleccionado
JInstaller::install: Error al copiar el archivo: /home/colecci1/public_html/tmp/install_4feb35d19b558/JoomFish2.2.3/manifest.xml a /home/colecci1/public_html/administrator/components/com_joomfish/manifest.xml
Componente Instalar: No se pudo copiar el archivo de configuración.
Alguna otra cosa que pueda ser?

Al momento de desinstalar , si te permitió desinstalar normalmente? , verifica que no tengas ningún módulo o pluging con el termino joomfish, si lo tienes desinstala, por otro lado , revisa tu archivo /administrator/error_log para ver si se generan errores recientes relacionados a joomfish.

No tengo ningún modulo relacionado con JoomFish, ¿Más bien pudiera ser que faltara algo?.
Revisando el archivo /administrator/error_log, adjunto lo reciente, pero no parecen relacionados a Joomfish?

Para el acceso al administrador de la web tengo el Jsecure, en este momento está desactivado el plugin, por si pudiera ser el problema y en la autenticación de usuarios en el formulario de registro hay un campo nuevo para aceptar la LOPD.
No utilizo certificado SSL, la pasarela de pago es mediante contacto por email, una vez realizada la compra se envía el email y se le manda la cuenta.
¿Puedes aclararme a que te refieres?. He remitido un extracto de los últimos días del error_log este error porque viene de antes.
¿Hay algo más que pueda hacer para descubrir porque no se instala Joomfish?.

Creo que los errores están relacionados con que tienes activados los plugins:
Authentication - LDAP
Authentication - OpenID
Authentication - GMail
Y respecto a la instalación de Joomfish, creo que no lo has desisntalado correctamente. ¿Te aparece en la lista de componentes?

Hola, ya he desactivado los plugins. No parece generar problemas en el acceso de usuarios.
Como decía anteriormente, no se instala bien. Si aparece en la lista de componentes pero sin ícono, se ve en las capturas de pantalla que adjunto.
Instalo el archivo empaquetado zip de Joomfish 2.2.3 de la página oficial sobre joomla 1.5.22. Lo he desinstalado e desinstalado varias veces pero no he probado a realizarlo manualmente desde un directorio y no se donde más buscar el problema.

Las capturas de pantalla que envías son después de haber instalado Joomfish, o con Joomfish desinstalado.
Desinstalas Joomifsh y aún se sigue mostrando en el menú?, creo que si es así deberas eliminar manualmente el registro de la tabla jos_components.

No, cuando lo desinstalo, ya no se sigue mostrando en el menú.
Como aún no lo he desintalado, adjunto el registro actual de Joomfish en la tabla Jos_components.

Hola Liliana,
Me ha parecido leer que estás trabajando con Joomla! 1.5.22 ¿correcto?, esta versión es vulnerable e inestable y deberías plantearte, previa copia de seguridad, actualizarla a la versión 1.5.26 estable.
Esto si puede ser vinculante a tu problema.
No obstante hasta que no instales nuevamente, tras la actualización, Joom!Fish "última versión estable" no podremos determinar la persistencia del error y el origen.

Aunque la mejor opción es instalar Admin Tools en aquellas instalaciones Joomla! desactualizadas y realizar las actualizaciones en cada una previa copia de seguridad para mayor garantía:

Hola:
No tengo apuntados todos los cambios realizados en la web, ¿Que hacer para evitar pérdidas en las modificaciones al código y a la plantilla con la actualización. ¿Es recomendable la actualización gradual o directamente a la última versión estable?
